Page 2. BEFORE WE SHIP 9 checks on every self-stacking belt before it ships 1 Side plates Parallel to the belt with a small, even gap, measured with the belt pulled tight. 2 Rods Every rod straight, so the tier plates stay vertical. 3 Weld points Each weld pressed by hand; position centred, no loose points. 4 Flat-cap welds Centred, smooth and firm on every link. 5 Tier plates Vertical and in line along the full belt. 6 Rod to plate Rod tight against the tier plate, no gap. 7 Inner slot Slot width set to 5.5 mm so the rod slides freely. 8 Sprockets Direction and pitch checked by turning by hand. 9 Width Measured at five points or more against your drawing.
Page 3. WHAT BUYERS ASK The questions buyers ask about repeat orders Each answer in this file is a photo, a drawing or a measured value from a real order. Buyer question What we show you Pages Will my second order match the first? One approved drawing; the same values measured on every order. 5, 8, 11 Can I trace which batch a plate came from? A batch code stamped on the tier plates. 6 Will a long belt turn on my drum? The full belt laid out at the turning diameter. 7, 16 Can you design a heavier belt? A heavy-duty drawing, slot checks and turning tests. 13–17 Will it arrive straight? Belts coiled and packed in wooden cases. 9, 12, 18 How you can check: ask for the same photos and values for your own order before it ships.
Page 4. PROJECT 1 Pakistan, Asia: 350 m, then another 350 m The buyer's task: a long belt to the buyer's sample, then the same belt again. REPEAT ORDER Buyer Belt distributor. Belt SUS304, 660 mm (25.98 in) wide; spiral pitch 13 mm, rod pitch 30 mm; tier plate 1.5 × 80 mm (0.06 × 3.15 in). Orders 350 m (1,148 ft), then a repeat order of 350 m to the same drawing. Original link and the link we produced Original and produced, side by side
Page 5. PROJECT 1 · OUR DRAWING One drawing for both orders The buyer's concern: a repeat order that drifts from the first. Drawing Spiral pitch 13 mm, rod pitch 30 mm, wire 1.5 mm, tier plate 1.5 × 80 mm, counter-clockwise travel. Comparison Before the first order we sent photos of the original link next to ours. Repeat The second order was made and checked to the same drawing. Our drawing for this belt How you can check: ask for our drawing of your belt; repeat orders are checked against it.
Page 6. PROJECT 1 · TRACEABILITY A batch code stamped on the tier plates The buyer's concern: not knowing which batch a plate came from. What we did Stamped the production batch code into the tier plates, so any plate can be traced back to its batch. Batch code on a tier plate Codes along the belt How you can check: ask for the batch code to be stamped on your belt.
Page 7. PROJECT 1 · TURNING CHECK 350 m laid out at the turning diameter The buyer's concern: a long belt that does not turn evenly. What we did Laid the belt out in a full circle on the workshop floor and measured the turn before packing. Belt in a full circle Measuring the turn Tiers in the turn How you can check: ask for photos and the measured turning diameter of your belt.
Page 8. PROJECT 1 · REPEAT ORDER Second order measured to the same values The buyer's concern: the repeat order coming out different. Checked Rod pitch, spiral pitch and tier plate height measured again on the repeat order. Rod pitch Tier plate height Spiral pitch How you can check: first-article photos of every repeat order are sent with the measured values.
Page 9. PROJECT 1 · PACKING Coiled, then cased The buyer's concern: plates bent on a long route. Packed Belt coiled so the tiers nest, then packed in wooden cases (labels blurred). Belt coiled for packing Wooden cases How you can check: packing photos are sent before shipment.
Page 10. PROJECT 2 New Zealand, Oceania: a food plant reordering year after year The buyer's task: the same belt on every reorder, in two widths. REPEAT ORDER Buyer Food manufacturer, end user. Belts SUS304, 660 mm (25.98 in) and 420 mm (16.54 in) wide; rod pitch 30 mm; tier plate 1.5 × 80 mm. Orders 100 m (328 ft) first; repeat orders of 100 m and 150 m (492 ft). Sample section Rod pitch on the sample
Page 11. PROJECT 2 · TRIAL PRODUCTION Trial production before every reorder The buyer's concern: a reorder that differs from the belts already running. Checked A trial section measured against the drawing before each repeat order went into production. Spiral pitch 9.00 mm Spiral pitch on the next reorder Tier plate height How you can check: ask for trial-production photos before your reorder starts.
Page 12. PROJECT 2 · PACKING Coiled and cased for a sea route The buyer's concern: plates bent in transit. Packed Belt coiled so the tiers nest, wrapped and packed in wooden cases (labels blurred). Belt coiled for packing Wooden cases How you can check: packing photos are sent before shipment.
Page 13. PROJECT 3 Korea, Asia: a heavy-duty self-stacking belt The buyer's task: a stronger belt for heavier loads, in 420 mm and 660 mm widths. NEW PROJECT Buyer Equipment manufacturer. Design Rod 7 mm, wire 1.4 mm, spiral pitch 10 mm, rod pitch 30 mm; tier plate 1.5 × 80 mm; reinforcing bars 4 × 15 mm. Drawing Approved after four revisions with the buyer. Our heavy-duty drawing, 420 mm
Page 14. PROJECT 3 · QUESTIONS SETTLED Details agreed with the buyer in photos The buyer's concern: details that are only discovered after production. What we did Sent marked-up photos asking the buyer to confirm plate details, such as hole position and bend angle, before production. Question 1: hole to plate centre Question 2: bend angle of the plate How you can check: ask us to send questions as marked-up photos for your design.
Page 15. PROJECT 3 · FIRST ARTICLE First section and slot sizes measured The buyer's concern: heavier rods that bind in the slots. Checked Rod, spiral pitch and the slot sizes in the tier plates measured on the first section. First section Slot size Slot size How you can check: first-article photos are sent with the measured values.
Page 16. PROJECT 3 · TURNING TEST Both widths laid out at the turning diameter The buyer's concern: a heavier belt that will not turn. Measured 420 mm belt turning at about 1,460 mm (57.5 in) diameter; 660 mm belt at about 2,405 mm (94.7 in). The turn was measured and improved over three rounds. 420 mm belt in a full circle 660 mm belt in a full circle How you can check: ask for turning-test photos and diameters of your belt.
Page 17. PROJECT 3 · FINISHED BELT Measured again on the finished belt The buyer's concern: a new design that changes between sample and shipment. Checked Rod, spiral pitch and tier plates measured again; the coiled belt checked for nesting.
