Page 2. BEFORE WE SHIP What we check before shipment 1 Weld projectionsInspect raised welds. Correct the finish and reinspect before release. 2 Weld finishCompare the edge finish with the agreed workmanship requirements. 3 Link integrityCheck for broken or damaged links. Replace affected parts and reinspect. 4 Foreign materialRemove loose debris and inspect the belt again before packing. 5 Wire diameterMeasure the wire specified for this order, independently of pitch. 6 Rod pitchUse the agreed reference points and the current project drawing. 7 Link heightCheck link geometry separately from the carrying mesh. 8 Overall widthConfirm the width reference before recording the measurement. 9 Edge arrangementMatch the washer and rod arrangement to the approved drawing. 1–4: quality reference examples. 5–9: project inspection records. Reference examples show inspection topics, not defects attributed to the projects in this book.

Page 3. WHAT BUYERS ASK Five questions answered by actual order records 4 projects, shown through drawings and manufacturing photographs. Buyer question What this casebook shows Pages Will each order have its own specification? Four separate manufacturing records, with drawings and photographs. 5, 8, 11, 14 Which width is being checked? Width references recorded at trial or first article and shipment. 6, 12, 15 How is rod pitch documented? Separate close-ups from the corresponding production stages. 7, 10, 13, 16 Can I inspect the edge construction? Welded-rod and washer-welded edge details from actual orders. 5, 11, 14 Will the next order have fresh records? A later order with its own drawing and shipment checks. 14–16 Quality checks: page 2. Our manufacturing process: page 4. Project records follow.

Page 4. OUR PROCESS From drawing review to inspection and packing Our order controls. The following cases show the available project records. # Stage What we do What you receive or approve 1 Project review Review drawings, application and equipment interfaces. Questions to confirm 2 Specification Confirm dimensions, material and supply scope. Agreed specification 3 Drawing approval Use the approved drawing revision for manufacture. Your drawing approval 4 Trial and first article Trial production, then first-article confirmation. First-article records 5 Production and drum test Manufacture to the drawing; drum-test before shipment. Production and test records 6 Final inspection 100% final inspection before packaging. Agreed inspection records 7 Inner protection Apply protection appropriate to the material and order. Packing requirements 8 Outer packing Check the package, identification and dispatch documents. Packing and dispatch records For formal replacement: physical old belt, available drawings and equipment details, followed by remeasurement and structural review.

Page 5. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 1 An 850 mm belt, from first article to shipment The buyer’s check: Will the manufactured belt follow the same specification at both stages? What we made. The order drawing defines an 850 mm overall width, 19.05 mm rod pitch and welded-rod edge. First-article and shipment photographs show the same project at two stages. First-article belt and edge overview Belt overview in the shipment records How you can check: Ask for first-article and shipment records linked to your approved drawing.

Page 6. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 1 Overall width and chain centres are different references The buyer’s check: Which width is being checked in each photograph? What we recorded. This drawing separates 850 mm overall width from 822 mm chain centres. The tape photographs document width checks; identify the measurement endpoints before comparing the reading with the drawing. Width check in the first-article records Width check in the shipment records How you can check: Agree whether each width is overall, chain-centre or useful width before acceptance.

Page 7. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 1 Rod pitch is measured at both production stages The buyer’s check: Is the rod pitch recorded separately from the mesh opening? What we checked. The drawing calls for a 19.05 mm rod pitch. Separate first-article and shipment close-ups show this dimension. The wire pitch and rod pitch remain distinct specification fields. Rod-pitch measurement at first article Rod-pitch measurement before shipment How you can check: Compare the same pitch definition at each stage, using the agreed tolerance.

Page 8. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 2 A 350 mm belt with a different mesh construction The buyer’s check: Will a narrower belt receive its own manufacturing definition? What we made. A separate order uses 350 mm overall width, 5 mm spiral pitch and 27.4 mm rod pitch. Its first-article and shipment records keep this construction separate from the wider project. First-article overview of the 350 mm belt Overview in this order’s shipment records How you can check: Keep a separate drawing and inspection record for every belt configuration.

Page 9. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 2 Wire diameter has its own inspection evidence The buyer’s check: Can you show the wire measurement, rather than infer it from appearance? What we recorded. This project specifies a 1.6 mm spiral-wire diameter. The photographs show wire measurements at first article and before shipment. Material identity requires the agreed material documentation, not a visual judgement. Spiral-wire measurement at first article Spiral-wire measurement before shipment How you can check: Review the dimensional evidence and request the material records agreed for your order.

Page 10. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 2 The 27.4 mm rod pitch is checked again before dispatch The buyer’s check: Do the two stages use the same measurement reference? What we checked. The first-article and shipment close-ups both document rod pitch on the assembled belt. These are records of this specific order; they do not define a universal pitch or acceptance tolerance. First-article rod-pitch record Shipment rod-pitch record How you can check: Compare the current drawing, measurement method and agreed tolerance together.

Page 11. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 3 A 1,129 mm belt with washer-welded edges The buyer’s check: Does the edge construction match the drawing? What we made. This project drawing specifies washer-welded edges, with the rods able to rotate freely. Trial and shipment photographs make the edge arrangement visible. A static photograph alone does not prove movement. Edge detail in the trial-production records Edge detail in the shipment records How you can check: Check edge construction against the drawing and agree how movement will be verified.

Page 12. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 3 Width records stay with the correct drawing revision The buyer’s check: Can you trace the width check to the manufactured configuration? What we recorded. The project uses a 1,129 mm overall width and a revision-controlled drawing. Trial-production and shipment photographs document the width reference on the same order. Trial-production width measurement Width measurement before shipment How you can check: Request the drawing revision and the corresponding inspection photographs together.

Page 13. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 3 Rod pitch is visible in trial and shipment records The buyer’s check: Which dimensions are rechecked on the finished belt? What we checked. This drawing specifies a 19.05 mm rod pitch, separately from the 4.8 mm spiral pitch. The two close-ups show rod-pitch records at trial production and shipment. Rod-pitch check during trial production Rod-pitch check in the shipment records How you can check: Compare like-for-like dimensions; do not treat spiral pitch as rod pitch.

Page 14. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 4 A later 1,129 mm order has its own evidence The buyer’s check: Will a familiar-looking specification still have a separate order record? What we supplied. A later order has its own drawing and shipment photographs. It specifies the same nominal overall width and washer-welded edge form, but remains a separate manufacturing record. Overall belt in the later shipment records Washer-welded edge in the same order How you can check: Match the inspection evidence to the current order, even when nominal dimensions recur.

Page 15. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 4 Overall width and rod diameter are checked separately The buyer’s check: Can you show both assembly size and component size? What we recorded. This order drawing specifies 1,129 mm overall width and 5 mm rod diameter. The shipment set contains separate tape and caliper photographs for these different checks. Overall-width measurement before shipment Rod-diameter measurement on the assembled belt How you can check: Agree the measurement endpoints and compare each reading with its own drawing field.

Page 16. SPIRAL FREEZER BELT · PROJECT 4 Pitch and link thickness complete the dimensional record The buyer’s check: Are the edge links checked as well as the carrying mesh? What we checked. The drawing specifies 19.05 mm rod pitch and 2.5 mm link thickness. Separate shipment close-ups document these dimensions. Equipment fit also requires the agreed drum and turning geometry. Rod-pitch record for this order Link-thickness record for this order How you can check: Review belt dimensions and equipment interfaces together before manufacturing approval.
