What Is a Rolled Baking Belt?
Z-Spiral Wire — Compressed Flat by Precision Rolling

A Rolled Baking Belt starts as a Z-form spiral wire mesh. It is then passed through a large precision rolling machine that compresses the structure flat. The result is an ultra-thin, smooth belt surface with consistent geometry across the full width and length.

The flat, low-profile surface is critical for biscuit production: dough pieces lie flat without tipping, heat distributes evenly from below, and the belt runs at high speed without product displacement.

YIYI Mesh Belt designed and built this rolling machine in-house specifically for ultra-thin biscuit belt production. Not a purchased commercial machine — engineered to handle the width, tension, and rolling precision required for tunnel oven belts.

Frequently Asked Questions

Standard wire diameter is 1.5mm. This is the industry specification for high-speed biscuit and cracker tunnel ovens. All 1.5mm wire is drawn in-house by YIYI Mesh Belt on self-developed drawing equipment to a tensile strength of 1,200 MPa — significantly higher than standard commercial wire. SUS316 and SUS316L available on request.
YIYI Mesh Belt produces each Rolled Baking Belt as a single continuous piece at full customer length — no mid-belt joints during production. A mid-belt joint creates a visible seam in the mesh pattern, a potential weak point under oven tension, and a surface irregularity that can mark biscuits. One-piece production eliminates all three risks. The only joint is the end-connection joint where the belt loops back on itself, controlled to your specification.
After rolling, the belt can be placed on YIYI Mesh Belt’s in-house tracking test station and run under tension. The test verifies tracking behaviour across the belt length. Belts with tracking deviation are corrected or rejected. A tracking test record or video can be prepared before shipment when required.
Yes. Send us your oven make and model, or the existing belt dimensions (width, length, pitch, wire diameter, edge treatment, joint quantity per meter). We can arrange sample confirmation before bulk production so you can verify fit and running behaviour on your machine before committing to a full order. Engineering response is handled through the project review path.
No fixed minimum order quantity. We can produce a single replacement belt for an existing oven. Sample review can be arranged before bulk order when the specification requires test-fitting. Engineering response follows specification submission.
Standard: natural stainless (cleaned and degreased). On request: electro-polishing, heat treatment / pre-oxidation (common for biscuit belts to develop a non-stick oxide layer during initial oven run-in), and degreasing only. Specify your requirement when enquiring.
