Trapezoidal Spiral — Built for Turning

A standard balanced weave or compound weave belt has equal pitch across its full width. This prevents it from navigating curves without bunching or stretching. Trapezoidal mesh belt uses wider pitch on the outer edge and narrower pitch toward the centre — creating natural lateral flexibility that allows tight radius turns without distortion.

Despite lateral flexibility, the belt surface remains flat. Products do not tip, slide, or displace during curved conveying at normal speeds.

Before Production, the Turning Geometry Must Be Confirmed

For a trapezoidal mesh belt, the key risk is not only wire diameter or belt width. The belt must match the conveyor curve radius, sprocket or drum contact, edge format, and product support requirement. YIYI reviews these points before production so the belt can turn smoothly without binding, bunching, or edge overload.

Curve Radius Review
Inner radius, outer radius, belt width, and conveyor path are checked together. If the radius is too tight for the requested width, we adjust pitch logic before release.
Drive Contact Matching
Sprocket, drum, or guide rail contact must match the belt pitch and edge format. This helps prevent jumping, edge rubbing, and uneven pull during curved conveying.

Overall width, inner pitch, outer pitch, wire diameter, and edge straightness are checked against the drawing or sample before the belt moves to final inspection.
