A spiral freezer belt is a stainless steel conveyor belt that runs in a helix around a rotating drum in spiral freezers and turning conveyors. It fits only when turn ratio, drum diameter, spiral and rod pitch, rod diameter, edge and drive are right together. YIYI Mesh Belt builds each belt to the drawing you approve, or re-measures your old belt.

How to measure an old spiral freezer belt in 4 steps
Measure a clean, flat section. Worn belts can differ from the original, so send the physical sample when you can.

Spiral freezer belt questions
What turn ratio does a spiral freezer belt need?
It depends on the drum: turn ratio is the inside turning radius divided by the belt width. YIYI Mesh Belt builds spiral freezer belts from 1.15 to 2.5, and the Small Radius variant at 1.1. For high ratios the chain is matched to your turn factor or tooled from your original chain, and a trial section is turned on your drum diameter before full production.
How do I measure a spiral freezer belt for replacement?
Measure spiral pitch and rod pitch with a tape over 10 pitches and divide by 10, then wire and rod diameter with a caliper in three places. Record link pitch, thickness, height and opening width, the edge type, overall width, turn direction and drum diameter. A physical sample is best, because worn belts can differ from the original.
Can a new spiral belt join the belt still running?
Yes, if the new belt matches the old belt's pitch. YIYI Mesh Belt confirms the pitch from a sample or from pitch measured over 10 pitches before quoting, so the new section joins the existing spiral belt.
Which stainless steel and material documentation do you supply?
Spiral freezer belts are made in SUS304 or SUS316. Incoming material is checked for composition with an alloy analyser, material is traceable to each order, and material documentation can be provided for your order.
Which wire is used for a spiral freezer belt in freezing applications?
Hard wire. Soft wire can deform in a freezing application, so hard wire is specified for spiral freezer belts used in spiral freezers.
Is electropolishing available for wide spiral belts?
Electropolishing is available up to 1,100 mm (43.3 in) belt width. For wider spiral belts the surface treatment is confirmed per order; pickling and electrolytic treatment are also available.
How many meters of spiral freezer belt can YIYI Mesh Belt produce per day?
YIYI Mesh Belt produces approximately 350–400 m of finished spiral freezer belt per day, keeps about 50 t of 5.0 mm wire rod and 50 t of 12 mm round bar in stock and draws stainless wire (3.2–1.0 mm) and round bar (12–4 mm) in-house. The lead time for your order is confirmed with the quotation.
Do you supply sprockets and spare parts with a spiral belt?
Yes, per project: sprockets, spare spiral wire, spare cross rods, lane dividers and flights; side guards are a verified accessory. Send tooth count, chain pitch, bore, keyway and mounting dimensions so the drive is reviewed with the belt.
